Testing dates set for census jobs

Testing will be conducted in Rowan County beginning this week for jobs with the 2010 U.S. Census.
The testing at three locations across the county will continue throughout December and into January. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have either a current passport or drivers license and Social Security card.
For an appointment to take the exam, call Phillip Gregory, Concord area manager for the census, at 704-886-5840.
The application and testing process takes about 21/2 hours. The locations, dates and times are:
– Cleveland Town Hall, 302 E. Main St., Cleveland ó Today, 1:30 p.m.; Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Dec. 16, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Dec. 21, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Dec. 22, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Dec. 23, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
– East Rowan Public Library, 110 Broad St., Rockwell ó Dec. 8, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Dec. 9, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Dec. 10, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.; Dec. 11, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
