KANNAPOLIS ó The N.C. Research Campus will host a Holiday Farmers Market this weekend, featuring fresh produce, live entertainment and handmade gifts.
Local artisans will gather under one roof for the convenience of shoppers, who can browse while enjoying the aroma, sights and musical sounds of the holidays.
Shoppers can find jewelry, candles and handcrafted wooden items, as well as Christmas decor. Culinary offerings will include made-from-scratch soups, jams, jellies and more.
Downtown Kannapolis will be decorated for Christmas with thousands of lights strung in trees lining the Williamsburg-inspired Village. Weather permitting, a horse and carriage will offer rides.
Mrs. Claus will accept letters and deliver them to Santa.
The market will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Old Cabarrus Bank Building, 201 West Ave.
