Carson – Roberts

MONTREAT ó Lauren Elizabeth Carson of Montreat and Nelson Phillip Roberts of Asheville were united in marriage Dec. 20, 2008, at Chapel of the Prodigal. The Rev. Colin P. Thornley officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at The Wild Hare.
The bride was escorted by her father, Jeff Carson, and attended by her sister, Miss Ashlen Carson of Williams, Ariz., as maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were sister of the groom Mary Clark Hauser, Caroline Joy Bullock and Kelley Cleveland. Honor???ary attendants were Jessica Davis, Jennifer Smith, Anna Braswell, Sayward Harrison and Whitley Worthington.
Worth Roberts, father of the groom, and Shane Ambro of Asheville were best men. Groomsmen included Matt Hauser, Bradley Bullock, Steve Whited and Jonathon German.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Nancy Carson of Snow Hill and the granddaughter of the late Hilton and Mary Carson of Robersonville and Myrtle and the late Walter Speller of Williamston. A 1999 graduate of Kinston High School, Lauren received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Montreat College in 2003. She is the director of Alumni Relations at Montreat College.
The groom is the son of Worth and Mary Roberts of Rockwell and the grandson of Isabelle and the late John Edd Roberts of Mount Olive and Edith and the late James W. Clark of Vaughan. A 1998 graduate of East Rowan High School, Nelson received a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2002. He is employed by The Inn on Biltmore Estate.
Following a wedding trip to Black Mountain and Folly Beach, S.C., the couple are making their home in Asheville.

Mobley – Crockett

ROCK HILL, S.C. ó Leanna Elliott Mobley and Jonathan?Michael Crockett, both of Charleston, were united in marriage Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at West End Baptist Church. The Rev. John Mobley officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at The Magnolia Room.
The bride was escorted by her father, Dr. David M. Mobley, and attended by sister of the groom Miss Casey Crockett of Key West, Fla., as maid of honor and her sister, Mrs. Caroline McMahan of Dallas, N.C., as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Kala Beasley of Salisbury, Miss Megan Pugh of Lewisville, Miss Victoria Lee of Boiling Springs and Miss Noelle Flauaus of Wilmington. Madison White of Gastonia and Miss Lanee Mobley of Tellico Plains, Tenn.., were junior bridesmaids.
The groom chose his father, Mr. Davy Crockett, as his best man. Serving as groomsmen were brother of the bride Patrick Mobley; Jesse Bullard of Columbia; Troy Bubley, Stefan Schropp, Aaron Crittenden and Brandon Roberts, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; and Ty Boyles of Ararat, N.C.
Serving as flower girls were Miss Lydia Mobley and Miss Lucy Mobley of Tellico Plains, Tenn. Ring bearer was Matthew Jewell of Charlotte, N.C.
Guest registrar was aunt of the bride Mrs. Elisabeth Jewell of Goldsboro, N.C., and wedding director was cousin of the groom Mrs. Jonna Eichorn of Davidson, N.C.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David M. Mobley of Rock Hill and the granddaughter of Mrs. Janice and the late Julius McKnight of Dallas, N.C., Mrs. Miriam and the late Grover Smith of Laurens and the late Rev. Law Mobley. A 2004 graduate of East Rowan High School, Leanna received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Marketing from Gardner Webb University in 2008. She is an account consultant for Benefitfocus.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Davy Crockett of Charlotte and the grandson of Mrs. Mary and the late Clyde Robinson of Charlotte and the late John and Hazel Crockett. A 2005 graduate of Fort Myers High School, Jonathan received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2008 from Gardner Webb University, where he played baseball. He is a Financial Leader for BB&T in Summerville.
Following a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla., the couple will make their home in Charleston.

Thompson Graduation

Anne Claire Thompson of Salisbury graduated from North Carolina State University Dec. 17, 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communi?cations with a concentration in Public Relations.
The daughter of Bill and Laura Thompson of Salisbury, Anne Claire is a 2004 graduate of Salisbury High School. She is currently employed by Cargo Logistics Network in Charlotte as the air cargo facilitator for Asia, the Middle East and South America.

Hilliard – Condrey

Mr. and Mrs. Craig Hilliard of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Dawn Hilliard, to Ronald Lynn Condrey.
Jennifer is the granddaughter of Colleen and the late Billy Hilliard of Salisbury and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.V. Barnhardt and the step-granddaughter of Faye Hilliard of Salisbury. A graduate of West Rowan High School and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Forsyth Community College. Jennifer is employed at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Ronald is the son of Sherry Fisher and Raymond Condrey, both of Salisbury, and the grandson of Minnie and the late Van Burris of China Grove and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Condrey. A graduate of South Rowan High School, he has served in the U.S. Navy for the past 17 years.
The wedding is Dec. 1 at Montego Bay in Jamaica.

Lowe 25th Anniversary

John Thomas Lowe and Donna Allen Lowe of Salisbury celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Nov. 4, 2009. The family hosted a social at Franklin Presbyterian Church where they were married Nov. 4, 1984, by Dr. Dan Sansbury.
John is employed at Duke Energy as a technical trainer at the Training Center in Charlotte. Donna is the church secretary at Franklin Presbyterian Church.
The Lowes have two sons, Austin J. Lowe, who is a full-time student at Wingate University, and Alex M. Lowe, who is a senior at West Rowan High School.

Perry-Goodyear

Jessie and Rhonda Penley and Mike Perry of Gold Hill announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Suann Perry, to Eric Brandon Goodyear of Thomasville.
Amanda is a graduate of East Rowan High School and will graduate from Catawba College in 2010. She is employed by Carolina Stalite.
Eric is the son of Larry and Cathy Goodyear of Thomasville. A graduate of East Davidson High School, he is employed by Jís Color Creations.
The wedding is June 26, 2010.
