RCCA brings the Red Hot Jubilee Jam to Salisbury Oct. 18

The Rowan County Concert Association presents the Red Hot Jubilee Jam Sunday, Oct. 18. The concert will be at 3 p.m. in Keppel Auditorium on the campus of Catawba College.
Featuring seven outstanding performers, Red Hot Jubilee Jam is a whirlwind of music, variety, comedy and pure, unadulterated fun.
From Franz Schubert to Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash to Judy Garland, this eclectic production blends musical genres to create a delectable smorgasbord of jazz, semi-classical, country, popular standards and show tunes ó highlighted by several hilarious impersonations.
Featuring the brilliant singing of Judy Alexander, who is often compared to Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli, the red hot trumpet-playing of Rich Willie, the fabulous humor, authentic charm and impersonations of country singer Terry McKinney, the incredible piano artistry of Brian Gurl, plus Joey Gurl and the Jubilee Jam Band, this show promises a wonderful evening of entertainment.
This show features such songs as “Strike Up the Band,” “Schubert’s Serenade,” “To all the Girls I’ve Loved Before,” “Who Can I Turn To,” “Jump, Jive and Wail,” “You Raise Me Up,” “Stardust,” Ring of Fire,” “Over the Rainbow” and many others.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under. Ticket outlets are Salisbury Belk, Rowan Visitors Center, Literary BookPost, Frost Bites, Rowan Arts Council, and Keppel Box Office one hour prior to show.
