Prime time for voters
Public forums coming up this week offer voters in China Grove, Spencer and Salisbury prime opportunities to see their candidates in action.
The Post, Catawba College and the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a forum for Salisbury City Council candidates at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Hedrick Little Theatre.
The Post and Catawba are also working with the China Grove Board of Trade and the Spencer Business Association to hold forums Monday. The China Grove forum starts at 12:30 p.m., following a noon luncheon at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. The Spencer forum starts at 6:30 p.m. at Spencer Town Hall.
Dr. Michael Bitzer, Catawba political science professor, moderates the forums and keeps the discussion moving quickly. There may be no better time to hear candidates’ views on a wide range of issues.
