Cabarrus home tour will benefit community clinic

Cabarrus County’s Community Free Clinic will have its 2009 Harvest Home Tour Oct. 22 and 23 at the home of Mike and Sherri Brandner, 3565 Trinity Church Drive.
Built by Wightman Homes, it has been decorated by On Spring and Buffalo. Attendees can participate in special cooking and decorating demonstrations while touring. All ticket proceeds benefit the Community Free Clinic.
The tour will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, and and on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 1 to 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets must be purchased before Oct. 22. Ticket outlets include On Spring and Buffalo, The Village Blossom and the Community Free Clinic. There will also be a private Octoberfest Preview Party on Friday night, Oct. 23rd starting at 7 p.m. This will be an evening of German beer and wine, hors d’oeuvres and desserts held in the home. The Community Free Clinic was founded in 1994 by physicians David Lockhart and George Liles. The mission of the clinic is to help Cabarrus County adults move toward wellness by providing comprehensive healthcare and pharmacy services to those who lack the resources to obtain them.
The clinic is a collaborative effort among volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, social workers, lab technicians, United Way and Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
