Kara CrottsA daughter, Kara Shalom, was born to Jody and Tracy Crotts of Salisbury on Aug. 20, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces. Grandparents are Bob and Barbara Crotts of Mocksville and Betty Phipps of Partidge, Ky. Great-grandparents are Lucy Call and Roy Barney, both of Mocksville.
Palmer LashA son, Palmer James, was born to Michael and Monica Lash of Bartlett, Tenn. on Aug. 10, 2009, at Germantown Methodist Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces. He has two brothers, Avery, 15, and Brady, 3. Grandparents are Glynn and Carolyn Grammer of Lakeland, Tenn., James and Deborah Lash and Jane Barlow, all of Salisbury, and the late Dean Barlow.
Alex Merrell
A son, Alex David, was born to Andrea and Anthony Merrell of Landis on Aug. 17, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 11 pounds. He has a brother, A.J. Merrell Jr., 3 1/2. Grandparents are Duran and Linda Merrell of Salisbury, and David and Carol Bowers of Virginia Beach, Va. Great-grandparents are Bea Merrell of Salisbury, and Norman and Doris Hammond of Winter Haven, Fla.
Riley DeNito
A daughter, Riley Scott, was born to John and Sarah Scott DeNito of Winston-Salem on Aug. 6, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center. Grandparents are Bill and Jane Beeding of Winston-Salem. Great-grandparents are Betty Beeding of Mocksville and Sam and Emma Lou Moore of Salisbury.
