– The Military Family Support Ministry Team of the Cabarrus Baptist Association is sponsoring a Veteran’s Prayer Breakfast; Saturday, Aug. 29, 8:30-10 a.m., Troutman’s Bar-B-Que, 1388 Highway 601 S, Concord. Program includes a short devotion, updates on information for Veterans and their families, and a prayer time for Veterans and active military personnel. – Lilly’s Chapel Reading and Math program, free to kids grades 1 through 8. Snacks included. It is run by retired teachers who want to give back to the community. Located at 618 W.
