Great-grandparents are John Mitchel Brown of Salisbury, Joe and Marcia Cherry of Dublin, Ga., and Sam and Nancy Collins and Harold and Rachel Smith, all of Salisbury.Sophia Redding
A daughter, Sophia Grace, was born to Jeffrey Allen and Traci Trimmer Redding of Salisbury on July 13, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces. She has three brothers, Archie Lee Fritz IV, 13, Chase Logan Fritz, 10, Jesse Allen Redding, 12, and a sister, Ashlyn Brooke Fritz, 7. Grandparents are Frank and Wanda Trimmer and Phillip and Melinda Redding, all of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Ruth Trimmer of Richmond,Va. and Lois Walton of Salisbury.

A son, Dierks Alan, was born to Brad Cecil and Gina Lentz Rye of Rockwell on July 23, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces. A son, Rylan Triplett, was born to Melissa Secreast Motley and Ryan Michael Furr of Spencer on July 21, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 5 pounds, 8 ounces. Grandparents are David and Cheryl Douglas of Cleveland and Ray and Thelma Simon of China Grove. Great-grandparents are Tommy and Margaret Douglas of Salisbury.

A daughter, Kendall Leah, was born to Kenneth and Brittany Thompson Brown of Mooresville on April 4, 2009, at Lake Norman Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces. She has a brother, Zakari, 5. Grandparents are Jessica Ward of Cleveland, the late Mark Thompson, Wanda Brown of Mooresville, and the late- Kenneth Brown Sr. Great- grandparents are Dan and Joyce Caldwell and Ruth Thompson, both of Mt. Ulla, Ruby Brown of Mooresville, and Unice Wray of Conover.
