Don’t think it can’t happen here, to you
Recently our president went to Russia and suggested that the world just woke up one morning and decided to end the cold war peacefully.
Excuse me?
One of the first things tyrannical governments do is start to rewrite history, the theory that if the people don’t know any better they will grow up thinking there are no reasonable alternatives to the government they have. In Orwellian-speak, oppression becomes protection, freedom becomes selfishness, objection becomes hate and individualism becomes sin.
Where are we, ladies and gentlemen, in this process? Are you sitting in your little sandcastle thinking it can’t happen, not here, not to me? I’m smart; no one can hoodwink me. It’s all for the better, anyway, we have to look out for the poor unfortunates among us that can’t make it except for our kindly handouts. Besides, even if it does happen, me and mine will be part of the protected class; after all we’re part of the intelligentsia that helped bring it all about.
And then the re-education and the purges start because it never was about fairness, but about power, and power doesn’t share.
I know I’m one of the potential terrorists that eventually will have to be silenced because I remember; I fought for this nation my entire life and am watching in horror as the tenets of freedom are melted into tent poles for the new world government and the Constitution turned into so much playdough.
All of you, all of you, should be scared to death; with the help of the media, this massive sleight of hand is being pulled off right in front of your eyes. And you like it, you like it!
Sure, I’m an alarmist, but not a mindless alarmist; I’m not crying wolf ó I’m pointing to the wolf.
