Vivian Hopkins Gold Hill art featured at LGAC

The “Gold Hill Series” exhibit of art by Vivian Pennington Hopkins will be on display in the classroom at Looking Glass Artist Collective, 405 N. Lee St. beginning this Saturday.
A free reception honoring Hopkins will be held 8-10 p.m., on June 19.
In conjunction with the reception, The New Familiars will be performing in the LGAC Black Box Theater next door, at 407 N. Lee St. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. and admission is $7.
The New Familiars, a high-energy band from Charlotte, performs acoustic folk rock and thrash. More information about the band can be found at www.myspace.com/thenewfamiliars.
