Seager taken in third round by Seattle

Former Northwest Cabarrus High School star Kyle Seager, a junior infielder at North Carolina, was taken in the third round of the first-year player draft by the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.
Seager went 82nd overall to Seattle, which selected UNC teammate Dustin Ackley with the No. 2 overall pick.
