The following programs will be held at Davie County Senior Services, 278 Meroney Street, Mocksville:
Storytime with Grandma: Free, 10 a.m., Saturday, May 2, in multipurpose rooms A and B.
The story featured is “And the Good Brown Earth” by Kathy Henderson, which has a gardening theme. Children ages 5 and under are invited to hear the story, participate in a related craft and have a snack. Children must be accompanied by an adult, so bring your grandchild or great grandchild if you have one. Open to adults 55 and older and exceptions under the general participation policy.
Prayer breakfast: Free, 7:15 a.m. Thursday, May 7, multipurpose room B. Open to everyone, this prayer breakfast celebrates the National Day of Prayer. Breakfast. Breakfast provided following inspirational program.
At the Farmington site: (1723 Farmington Road, Mocksville)
– Fraud Seminar, free, today, 10:30 a.m. Speaker will be Captain J.D. Hartman, Davie County Sheriff’s Office. Limited to the first 25 to register.
– Anxiety disorders seminar: 10:30 a.m., Tues., May 26. Speaker will be Aliza Bro, Davie County Hospital.
