NL: Johnson’s bases loaded walk in ninth lifts Braves

WASHINGTON ó Kelly Johnson drew a bases-loaded walk from Mike Hinckley in the ninth inning, lifting the Atlanta Braves to a 1-0 victory over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday night.
The Braves won for the second time in seven games. The Nationals, who took the first two games of the three-game series, dropped to 3-11 ó the worst record in the majors.
The game was scoreless through eight, with Jair Jurrjens pitching 7 2/3 innings for Atlanta and John Lannan seven for Washington.
Matt Diaz singled with one out in the ninth against Garrett Mock (0-1) and was forced at second on Casey Kotchman’s grounder. Mock walked Jordan Schafer before Hinckley issued free passes to pinch-hitter Martin Prado and Johnson.
Cardinals 5, Mets 2
ST. LOUIS ó Joel Pineiro carried a six-hitter into the ninth inning and Albert Pujols had two hits and two RBIs in the St. Louis Cardinals’ 5-2 victory over the New York Mets.
Joe Thurston and Skip Schumaker had an RBI apiece for the Cardinals, who will go for a three-game sweep tonight.
Reds 3, Cubs 0
CHICAGO ó Johnny Cueto pitched seven scoreless innings, Jay Bruce homered in the ninth inning and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 3-0.
Joey Votto had an RBI double in the eighth inning and Cueto also had two hits for the Reds, who ended the Cubs’ three-game winning streak.
Brewers 3, Phillies 1
PHILADELPHIA ó Braden Looper pitched six scoreless innings, Mike Cameron hit a two-run double and Milwaukee beat Philadelphia.
J.J. Hardy had a solo homer for the Brewers, who snapped a six-game losing streak against the Phillies in the regular season. Jayson Werth homered in the ninth for Philadelphia.
Pirates 7, Marlins 4
PITTSBURGH ó Adam LaRoche had four hits and little brother Andy drove in a pair of runs, leading the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 7-4 victory over the Florida Marlins and a three-game sweep.
Diamondbacks 2, Rockies 0
PHOENIX ó Dan Haren pitched seven sharp innings for his first win this season and Ryan Roberts’ pinch-hit single broke a scoreless tie, leading Arizona over Colorado.
Giants 1, Padres 0, 10 innings
SAN FRANCISCO ó Bengie Molina’s pinch-hit double with two outs in the 10th inning drove in Andres Torres to give San Francisco a win over San Diego.
Astros 6, Dodgers 5
HOUSTON ó Ivan Rodriguez drove in the go-ahead run after a wild pitch on an intentional walk put a runner on third base.
