Grave thief has flowers but lacks a conscience
I think it is a crying shame when people steal flowers from graves. I put flowers on my husband’s grave, and someone took them.
To the thief who took the flowers, I hope you enjoyed them. You must need them very badly. You need to get a job and buy your own flowers.
You do not have a conscience, and I hope you can live with yourself. Truth be known, it does not bother you at all. It bothers me since my husband of 52 years passed away in July 2008.
I think that bothering a grave should be a federal offense.

Thanks for hard work
I would like to express a big thank you to all Youth In Action Against Tobacco Council members, Salisbury High Hornets Tackle Tobacco club, TRU club advisors, and TRU clubs for making the “Are you smarter than a TRU teen?” game show such a success Tuesday night.
The event was very successful, with West Rowan Middle School’s Teens Against Tobacco Use taking the win. Congratulations to West Rowan Middle’s TRU club for a job well done! Middle school TRU club members competed against other members on tobacco trivia questions. The Youth In Action Council members worked hard to make this event a TRUE success. Youth led the planning and coordinating and hosted the event, and it was a fun and educational program. I appreciate all the hard work these youth put into this event.

Inspiring concert
The Salisbury Rowan Choral Society had an outstanding choral concert at Coburn Memorial UMC on Sunday (March 22).
Daniel S. Evans directed a wide array of 20th and 21st century composers that we normally do not hear. The songs were thought-provoking and definitely understandable. The chorus and Una Voce performed a very inspiring concert.
They will be performing a spring concert on June 7, and I am definitely looking forward to it.
