CHARLOTTE (AP) ó A North Carolina man is using technology to help Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak survive on ěDancing with the Stars.î
The Charlotte Observer reported Monday that Chris Harrington created a fan page for Wozniak on Twitter.com.
The social networking Web site allows users to post short, real-time updates on what theyíre doing. Harrington îtweetsî during broadcasts of the ABC show on Mondays and Tuesdays, telling fellow computer geeks to call in and vote for Wozniak.
As of Sunday evening, twitter.com/votewoz had more than 50,000 followers.
The competition pairs celebrities with professional ballroom dancers. Harringtonís tweeting may have help Wozniak last week, when he escaped elimination after a dance-off against former Go-Gos lead singer Belinda Carlisle.
