Fleming – Reavis

Julie Elizabeth Fleming of Woodleaf and Jason Bradley Reavis of Cooleemee were united in marriage March 7, 2009, at Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on the campus of Catawba College in Salisbury.
The Rev. Darrell Cox officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Mocksville.
The bride was escorted by her father, Junius S. Fleming, Jr., and attended by Candace Taylor of Salisbury as matron of honor. Her bridesmaids included Laura Watson of Woodleaf, Meghan Stamper of Charlotte and Sarah Butler of Salisbury.
Father of the groom Keith Reavis stood as the best man. Groomsmen included brother of the groom Andy Reavis of Cooleemee, Rusty Miller of Mocksville, Zac Knight of Cooleemee, cousins of the bride Chris Haigler of Mooresville and Jon Cauble of Oakton, Va.
Serving as guest register attendant was cousin of the bride Carrie Smith of Concord, and program attendant was Jenifer Keller of Mocksville.
Music was provided by soloist Jeremy Cauble, cousin of the bride, and accompanist Phillip Haigler, uncle of the bride. Mrs. Patsy Crenshaw served as wedding director.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Junius S. Fleming, Jr. of Woodleaf and the granddaughter of Pauline Fleming of Woodleaf and Ellis Cauble of Salisbury. A 2002 graduate of West Rowan High School and 2003 graduate of Davidson Community College, Julie is employed by Carolina Center for Eye Care in Advance.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Reavis of Cooleemee. A 2002 graduate of Davie County High School, Brad received an Associate degree in Business from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in 2005. He is employed by Fuller Welding and Fabricators in Mocksville.
Following a wedding trip to Virginia, the couple will make their home in Woodleaf.

Johnson-Monk

Rick and Janet Johnson of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison JoAnna Johnson, to Nathan Wayne Monk, son of Rick and Janet Monk and Tammy Yarborough, all of Lexington.
Allison is the granddaughter of Gene and Emily Sides of Rockwell, Kay Johnson of Faith and Billy and Barbara Johnson of Debary, Fla. A 2004 graduate of East Rowan High School, she is a student at the University of Phoenix and is an Associate Agent with Nationwide Insurance.
Nathan is the grandson of Wayne and Nancy Monk and Sam and Hazel Everhart, all of Lexington. A 2001 graduate of West Davidson High School, he is employed by Lexington BBQ, his familyís business.
The wedding is April 4 at Wrightsville Beach.

Maynard – Ellis

Jean Maynard is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Martie Suzanne Maynard, to Tommy Leander Ellis, both of Salisbury.
A 1993 graduate of North Rowan High School, Ms. Maynard graduated with honors from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with a degree in cosmetology. She has also completed a certified nursing assistant course through the American Red Cross and is self-employed in the home health field.
The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.Tommy Ellis Sr. of Salisbury. A 1997 graduate of West Rowan High School, Mr. Ellis attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and Catawba College. He is employed by Outback Steakhouse.
The wedding is May 19 at Runaway Bay, Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Perkins 25th Anniversary

Richard and Marie Perkins of Salisbury celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary March 3, 2009. They were married at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Granite Quarry by the Rev. Bryan Fox Jr.
After a nearly 30-year career with Belk Department Stores, Richard has worked at the nonprofit Rowan Business Alliance for the past 11 years. Marie has been an elementary school educator in the Rowan-Salisbury Schools for the past 34 years.
The Perkinsí are actively involved in Nazareth Community Church at Leonard Chapel on the campus of Nazareth Childrenís Home. They are the parents of three children and have three grandchildren.
In celebration, summer trips are planned to Pinehurst and Charleston, S.C.

Saunders – Clark

Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Clayton Saunders of Wilson announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Lee Saunders, to Joel Regan Clark, both of Raleigh.
Katie is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Price Rowe Sr. of Aurora and Mr. Clayton Scoville Saunders and the late Mrs. Saunders of Wilson.
Joel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Steven Clark of Linwood and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Clark of Linwood and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hoyle Regan of Lexington.
The wedding is May 16 at First Christian Church in Wilson.

Thomas – Graham

Terry and Linda Thomas of China Grove are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nikki Thomas, to Jonathan Graham, both of Morrisville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Lettie Mabry and the late JD and Erma Thomas, all of China Grove. A 2000 graduate of South Rowan High School and 2004 cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Nikki is employed by the N.C. Department of Justice.
The future groom is the son of Rick and Donna Graham of Salisbury and the grandson of Louie and Edith Jackson of Salisbury and the late Ben and Mary Graham of China Grove. A 2000 graduate of West Rowan High School and 2004 graduate of North Carolina State University, Jonathan is employed by RTI Health Solutions.
The wedding is May 16 at Shell Island Resort at Wrightsville Beach.

Wilson – Fogner

Carlton and Karen Wilson of Richfield are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Leigh Wilson, to Jacob Robert Fogner of Gold Hill.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Bill and Betty Wilson of Richfield and Clyde and June Barringer of Rockwell. A 2003 graduate of East Rowan High School, Amy received certification as a paramedic from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and is employed by Stanly County.
The future groom is the son of Lynn and the late Johnny Fogner of Granite Quarry and the grandson of Bobbie and the late Rev. James Huneycutt of Granite Quarry and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fogner of Salisbury. A 2002 graduate of East Rowan High School, Jacob also received certification as a paramedic from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and is employed by Rowan County.
The couple will wed April 18 at Faith Baptist Church in Faith.
