Thanks for giving us a taste of Italy
A trip to Italy is not an option for most of Abundant Living’s participants, but what a treat they received instead! On Feb. 25, Olive Garden served an Italian feast, complete with tiramisu, to all of the participants at Abundant Living, as well as our staff. The aroma of lasagna and garlic bread filled the center, whetting appetites and adding to the feeling that this was a very special day.
Abundant Living receives such generous support from the community in which we live, and we now have another philanthropic business adding to that support. Many thanks to Russ Garland, manager of Salisbury’s Olive Garden, and his kind-hearted staff, as well as Jackie Harris of the Rowan County United Way for suggesting Abundant Living as the recipient of the Olive Garden’s generosity.
Grazie from everyone at Abundant Living, and welcome to Salisbury.

A close encounter
On Feb. 22, a friend and I went to Autumn Care to visit a friend of ours. When we came out to go home, a red truck was parked next to me. The truck was so close, there was no way I could back out without hitting it. A man and a his wife were parked on the other side of me. He was so nice. He came over to help us. He got into my car and backed it out for me.
I didn’t get his name, but I thanked God that night for the angels among us. Thanks again for being so nice.

Many thanks to whoever cleaned my driveway on Feb. 4. You are a unique individual.
