A daughter, Juliana Brooklynn, was born to Julie Roxanne Kirby and Jason Timothy Dry of Gold Hill on Feb. 13, 2009, at NorthEast Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces. Grandparents are Kevin and Tammy Myers of Gold Hill, Andrew and Lisa Kirby of Gold Hill and the late Timothy Dry. Great-grandparents are Floyd Wilson of Richfield, Bob and Agnes Dry of Gold Hill, Brenda Kirby of Salisbury and Mary Atwell of Rockwell. Great-great-grandparent is Bernice Josey of Salisbury. A son, Dustin Bradley Hayes, was born to Bobbie Jean Hayes and Brad Hayes of Granite Quarry on Feb. 19, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces. He has a brother, Tyler Evans, 9. Grandparents are Jimmy and Bonnie Hayes of Graham, David and Anne Trexler of Rockwell and Robert and Helen Hoy of Lexington. Great-grandparents are Ruby Hayes of Burlington and Virginia Thomas of Rockwell.
Callen Batts
A son, Callen Michael, was born to Shelly and Charles Batts of Charlotte on Feb. 8, 2009, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces. He has two sisters, Ella, 5, and Brinley, 2. Grandparents are Debbie and Jim Dyer of Salisbury and the late Mike Bingham, Joe Sides of Rockwell, Ada Moose Batts of Troutman and the late Bernice Batts. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lonzo Arey of Salisbury and Brown Sides of Rockwell.
Kingston Gomillion
A son, Kingston Jeffrey Martin’ae, was born to Rachel Sad’e Granford and Jeffrey Gomillion of Salisbury on Jan. 7, 2009, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces. Grandparents are Mildred Darlene Granford and Cedric Withers, both of Salisbury, and Sandra Gomillion and Dan Hampton, both of Charlotte. Great- grandparents are Willie and Moree Granford Jr. of Salisbury.
