College Basketball Roundup: Duke women beat Vols 62-54

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ó Jasmine Thomas scored 19 points and No. 7 Duke beat No. 13 Tennessee 62-54, the Blue Devils’ third straight win in Knoxville.
Duke (21-3) joins only Texas and Louisiana Tech as teams that have won three straight games on the Lady Volunteers’ home court. The Blue Devils also won in 2004 and 2007.
The Longhorns did it between 1983 and 1988, and the Lady Techsters managed the feat between 1981 and 1986.
Duke led 28-26 at halftime.
The Blue Devils responded with a 16-0 run through an 8-minute drought by the Vols (18-7). Free throws by Bridgette Mitchell with 8:51 left gave Duke a 44-28 lead ó its largest of the game.

BOONEó Andrew Goudelock scored 17 points, leading seven College of Charleston players in double figures in a 91-87 win over Appalachian State on Monday night.
Dustin Scott added 14 pointsfor the Cougars (19-7, 11-5 Southern Conference). Kellen Brand led the Mountaineers (10-15, 7-10) with 22 points, Donald Sims had 13 and A.J. Highsmith chipped in 11.
Liberty 85, Coastal Carolina 82
CONWAY, S.C. ó Seth Curry scored 22 points to lead Liberty in an 85-82 win over Coastal Carolina on Monday night.Kyle Ohman added 19 points and Tyler Baker had 14 for the Flames (20-8, 11-5 Big South Conference).
Hampton 67, Winston-Salem 49
WINSTON-SALEM ó Michael Freeman scored 17 points to lead Hampton in a 67-49 win over Winston-Salem. Brandon Tunnell added 10 points for the Pirates (12-13, 5-6 MEAC).
Brian Fisher led WSSU (7-17, 3-6) with 14 points and Jamal Durham had 10.
