A son, Rylie Jai, was born to James and Joan Hewitt of Landis on Jan. 26, 2009, at Stanly Regional Hospital. He weighed, 7 pounds, 7 ounces. He has a brother, James Daniel “JJ” Hewitt II, 3 1/2, and two sisters, Ivy Darlene Hewitt, 10 1/2, and Alexis Yvonnie Hewitt, 9 1/2. Grandparents are Philip Owen Schaffer and Marjy Ellen Schaffer of Wernersville, Pa., and David George Schwalm and Marjorie Marie Schwalm of Mount Joy, Pa.
