Dickerson’s management moment: Capturing the eye is easy; the heart is harder

Power Point: There are many things that will catch my eye, but there are only a few things that will catch my heart.
ó Tim Redmond
Power Thought: One of the hardest things to do as a leader is to keep the main thing the main thing. Many good things may capture my eye, but few will capture my heart. In your organization it’s your duty as the leader to keep the focus on the main thing. Leadership expert John Maxwell describes them as the three R’s; what is required, what gives the greatest return, and what brings the greatest reward. Focus on these things.
ó Doug Dickerson
Power Surge: A leader is the one who climbs the tallest tree, surveys the entire situation, and yells, “Wrong jungle.”ó Stephen Covey
