A son, Brody Patrick, was born to Patrick and Jacque DeVeau Thomas of Rockwell on Nov. 21, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces. Grandparents are James and Diane DeVeau of Salisbury and Craig and Linda Thomas of Orem, Utah. Great-grandparents are Margret Wagner of Rockwell, Earl Wagner of China Grove, and Mary Myers of Beaver, Utah.
Landen Merrill
A son, Landen Eugene, was born to Katie Lydic and Bryan Merrill of Salisbury on Dec. 16, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 0.1 ounces. He has a brother, Elijah Stiller, and a sister, Elizabeth Stiller. Grandparents are Sharon Lydic of Kannapolis, Charles Lydic of Pennsylvania, and Ronda and Mike Perry of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Leland and Margaret Fry of Kannapolis and Etta Mothers-head of Salisbury.
Andrew Padgett
A son, Andrew Dale, was born to Hannah Blevins and Daniel Padgett on Nov. 7, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. He weighed 5 pounds, 10.4 ounces. Grandparents are Gerald and Deedra Blevins and Beth and Jamie Padgett. Great-grandparents are Joan and Billy Benfield, Barry Padgett, Linda Keziah, Wallace Moore and Bill Thomas. Mary E. Brown is great-great-grandparent.
Jessica Butler
A daughter, Jessica Haley, was born to Joseph and Michelle Butler of Salisbury on Dec. 21, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces. She has two sisters, Emily Lanier, 11, and Angel Lanier, 8. Grandparents are Richard M. Butler, Barbara B. Wall and Helena Powell, all of Salisbury, and Michael Lanier of Lexington. Great-grandparents are Vincent and Helen Hensley.
