BOSTON ó If Boston College coach Al Skinner needs an example of how hustle leads to easy baskets, he can show the film of Corey Raji’s game against Maine.
Raji went 12-for-12 from the floor and scored a career-high 26 points to lead BC to its seventh straight win, a 99-61 decision over the Black Bears on Tuesday.
“Most guys are not necessarily willing to work as hard as he is,” Skinner said. “He’s constantly chasing the ball.”
Raji made the most of fastbreak baskets and rebounds off misses. Tyrese Rice added 21 points in limited playing time for the Eagles (10-2), and Joe Trapani scored 15 points. Rakim Sanders had 12 points and seven assists.
“For our team to be successful you’ve got to have players like Corey on the team,” said Rice, who was 8-for-13 from the field with nine assists in 24 minutes. “He doesn’t complain for the ball. He makes the most of his hustle plays and hustle rebounds.”

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. ó Mike Scott notched a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 15 boards.
Sammy Zeglinski, who was 3-for-4 from beyond the arc, added 11 points for the Cavaliers (5-4).
