BOSTON ó David Krejci and Shawn Thornton scored third-period goals to lift the Boston Bruins to their 13th straight home victory, a 4-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.
Marc Savard and Stephane Yelle also scored for Boston, which won its fourth straight to extend the club’s longest home winning streak in 32 years.
Joni Pitkanen and Ray Whitney scored for Carolina.

PHILADELPHIA ó Scott Hartnell scored three goals, Jeff Carter added a pair, and Antero Niittymaki stopped a season-high 47 shots as Philadelphia snapped Washington’s five game winning streak.

DETROIT ó Dan Cleary scored with 1:34 left to break a tie and lift Detroit.
Pavel Datsyuk and Jiri Hudler both had a goal and an assist.

MONTREAL ó Alex Kovalev scored with 24.3 seconds left in overtime to give Montreal a win over Buffalo.
Buffalo’s Ryan Miller made 42 saves after stopping 40 shots on Friday for his fourth shutout.

ATLANTA ó Kari Lehtonen gave up goals on the first two shots he faced in his first game in seven weeks, but didn’t let another puck get past him until late in Atlanta’s win over Tampa Bay.

PITTSBURGH ó Nik Antropov had a goal and two assists and six other Toronto players scored in a rout of Pittsburgh.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. ó Pekka Rinne stopped all 23 shots in earning his third shutout of the month, and Vernon Fiddler scored the lone goal as Nashville beat the New York Islanders.
Senators 5, Stars 4, OT
OTTAWA ó Jason Smith scored 3:30 into overtime to lift Ottawa past Dallas. The Senators had lost five of six and netted only five goals in their previous five games, including one into an empty net.

ST. LOUIS ó Roman Polak’s first NHL goal helped the St. Louis Blues beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2.
