Both teams own only one league victory, with Davie blanking North Forsyth last week with its best defensive effort of the season.
North Davidson lost at North Forsyth, but it beat R.J. Reynolds, a game that’s looking like a huge upset now that Reynolds has knocked off both Davie and West Forsyth.
North Davidson was simply overwhelmed by Tabor’s defense last week and was crushed in its own backfield 11 times. North Davidson completed just two passes and mustered only 43 yards of offense.
Davie can throw, and it also got its running game rolling last week. Getting offensive linemen such as Vince Cioce and Cody Clark healthy is key for the War Eagles, and James Mayfield ran wild for 159 yards and three TDs against North Forsyth
On paper, the Knights’ sturdy defense makes it anyone’s game, but it looks like Davie’s back on track.
