nDefense: Mooresville has allowed 160 points. West has given up 94.
*Game notes: West has clinched a share of its fifth straight NPC title, but it would like to make it an outright crown. West shared the 2004 crown with A.L. Brown, but it’s been the undisputed champion the last three seasons.
Second-place Mooresville shares the title with a victory tonight.
With apologies to West Iredell’s outstanding Shrine Bowl pick Quan Rucker, the NPC’s two dominant players will be on the field tonight. Mooresville senior back Jjshaun Pinkston has rolled all season and so has West’s K.P. Parks.
Parks, a junior, went over 6,000 career rushing yards last week and has scored 85 touchdowns.
Parks gets attention ó and rightly so ó but the Falcons have good players everywhere, including linebacker Josh Poe and receiver Jonathan Hill.
Counting the 2005 playoff game, West has beaten Mooresville six straight times since 2002.
