Blackwelder 50th Anniversary

Glenn Lee Blackwelder and Rachel Watkins Blackwelder of Salisbury are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Oct. 19, 2008, at a reception given by their children at their daughterís home.
The Blackwelders were united in marriage Oct. 18, 1958, in York, S.C. Glenn retired from Bowater after 27 years, where he was a woods technician. Rachel is a housewife.
The Blackweldersí children are Bennie L. Blackwelder and wife Wanda of Salisbury and Belinda Susan Blackwelder and Joel of Salisbury. Their four grandchildren are Misty, Tiffany, Brooke and Jessica. They also have three great-grandchildren.
