College Football: Chowan 41, Livingstone 20

Staff report
The good news for the Livingstone Blue Bears on Saturday afternoon was that they scored 20 points in the second half against Chowan.
The bad news? They were down 28-0 at halftime.
Chowan’s eventual 41-20 victory over Livingstone ended the Blue Bears’ week-long celebration of being 3-0 in the CIAA. The school had learned earlier that Bowie State had forfeited because of an ineligible player. Add that to wins over Lincoln and J.C. Smith and Lamonte Massie’s team was flying high going into yesterday’s game.
But the defense faltered early as Chowan won its Homecoming game.
Former West Rowan quarterback Bryan Aycoth came in to replace Steven Williams and threw two touchdown passes after halftime. He hit Travis Allen with a 31-yard scoring toss and added a 13-yard touchdown pass to former Mooresville star Chris Peoples.
Jamel Moore scored the other Livingstone touchdown on a 2-yard run.
Livingstone (3-4, 3-1) returns home to Alumni Stadium next Saturday to face Saint Augustine’s.
