A son, James Edward, was born to and Capt. James E. Poteat Sr. and Mica Faucette Poteat of Wichita Falls, Texas, on Sept. 12, 2008, at United Regional Hospital, Wichita Falls. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Poteat of Mount Ulla and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Faucette of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Crowell and the Rev. Kira Gladden
A daughter, Kira Grace, was born to Heidi Gladden and Donny Young of Salisbury on July 2, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 14 1/2 ounces. Zackary Rogers
