A son, Jaxon Rex, was born to Carla Fesperman Perry and Thomas Michael Perry Jr. of Salisbury, on June 12, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. He weighed 1 pound, 6 ounces. He has a brother, Thomas Logan Perry, 6, and a sister, Haileigh Breanne Hollifield, 8. Grandparents are Ronnie and Sharon Fesperman and Thomas Michael Perry Sr., all of Salisbury, and Amy Walsh of Winnsboro, S.C. Great-grandparents are Mary Whitler of Salisbury and Doris Walsh of Winnsboro, S.C.
James Poteat Jr.
A son, James Edward, was born to and Capt. James E. Poteat Sr. and Mica Faucette Poteat of Wichita Falls, Texas, on Sept. 12, 2008, at United Regional Hospital, Wichita Falls. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Poteat of Mount Ulla and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Faucette of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Crowell and the Rev. Benny Hillard, all of Salisbury.
Kira Gladden
A daughter, Kira Grace, was born to Heidi Gladden and Donny Young of Salisbury on July 2, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 14 1/2 ounces. Grandparents are Chris Gladden of Winston-Salem, Mr. and Mrs.David Compton of Salisbury, Kerry Young of Concord and Ludie Ann Young of Albemarle. Great-grandparents are Kaye Hunter and Wayne Gladden, both of Salisbury, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown of Fairview, Alaska, and Elizabeth Green of Concord. Nancy Trexler of Salisbury is great-great-grandparent.
Zackary Rogers
A son, Zackary Jonathan, was born to Jonathan and Kristen Rogers of Charlotte on Sept. 21, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-University. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces. Grandparents are Eric and Kathy Norris and Dennis and Karen Rogers, all of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are William “Bud” Lear, Katharyn Weaver and Ilene Norris, all of Salisbury.
Layla Basinger
A daughter, Layla Marie, was born to Debra Jo and Robert Douglas Basinger of China Grove, on May 14, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 7 pounds. Grandparents are Randy and Sharon Basinger of China Grove and the late Crystal Fleming. Great-grandparents are Louise Threatt of Landis, and Eloise Teeter and Mr. and Mrs. Ceaser Basinger, all of Salisbury.
Nicholas Eppehimer
A son, Nicholas Emmet, was born to Victoria Curran and Trevor Eppehimer of Salisbury on Sept. 14, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces. He has a sister, Grace, 2. Grandparents are Margaretta and Robert Curran of Seekonk, Mass., and Kay and David Eppehimer of Phoenix. Great-grandparents are George and Mabel Eppehimer of Philadelphia.
Elijah Starnes
A son, Elijah Lee, was born to Jessica Starnes of Salisbury on July 26, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces. Grandparents are Lynn Starnes of Rockwell and Tony Starnes of Salisbury. Elizabeth Carlisle of Rockwell is great-grandparent.
Andon McCullough
A son, Andon Jon, was born to Sonya and Jonathan McCullough of Salisbury on Sept. 25, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. He weighed 7 pounds, 2.5 ounces. He has two sisters, Haylee, 13, and Riley, 4. Grandparents are Al and Cathy Perry of Gold Hill, and Wayne and Teenie McCullough of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Sylvia Freeman of Rockwell, Helen Brady of Gold Hill and Edna Bost of Salisbury.
Harold Kenerly Robert Kenerly
Twin sons, Harold Charles and Robert Cline, were born to Jay and Rosemary Kenerly of Greensboro on Sept. 10, 2008, at The Women’s Hospital of Greensboro. Hal weighed 3 pounds, 13 ounces, and Bert weighed 4 pounds, 5 ounces. Grandparents are Toni and Bill Kenerly of Salisbury and Mary and Bob Plybon of Greensboro. Edith Kenerly Holshouser of Salisbury is great-grandparent.
