Area briefs: Livingstone volleyball wins

Livingstone’s volleyball team swept Allen 3-0 at home Monday.
Davia Moss had 17 kills for LC. Tia Charlow added 12 kills, and Shannon Allen had 32 assists.
n Knox tennis wins
Knox Middle’s girls tennis team beat North Rowan Middle 9-0 to stay undefeated Monday.Caroline Graham, Sallie Kate Meyerhoeffer, Emalee Young, Athena Cook, Traci Leak and Kristen Harmon won in singles.
Graham-Meyerhoeffer won a doubles match. First names weren’t available for Knox’s other winning doubles teams.
n NPC soccer
East Rowan’s boys soccer team fell 4-2 against North Iredell in an NPC match Monday.nSalisbury Academy C.C.Salisbury Academy’s boys won a cross country meet at Dan Nicholas Park. Trey Bersgma finished first, and Michael Ogden was second.
Samantha Hoskins was second overall to lead the third-place Salisbury Academy girls. Madeline Hoskins finished third. n North to host 5K
