Art and Jazz at RailWalk Studios and Gallery

Beginning Aug. 20, Rail Walk Studios & Gallery, 409 N. Lee St., will be open the third Wednesday of each month, featuring an art sale and jazz music from 5 to 7 p.m.
Rail Walk artist Jimmy Alston, who is also an accomplished musician, will be performing at the monthly events with his band, JAlston and Company.
In addition to Alston’s paintings, work by the other Rail Walk artists will be on view and for sale. Those artists are Carol Dunkley, Sharon Forthofer, Norma Velásquez-Frink, Annette Ragone Hall, Patt Legg and Marietta Foster Smith.
Visitors will find original paintings in watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel and other types of mediums, as well as sculpture and pottery.
Rail Walk Gallery is also open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and by appointment.
Free parking is available in two lots, which are on opposite corners of the intersection of East Kerr and North Lee streets.
