East Rowan alum Bobby Parnell will make his first start for the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs, a New York Mets farm club, tonight at 8:05 p.m. EST in Memphis.
Parnell is scheduled to oppose Memphis Redbirds pitcher Adam Wainwright, who will make his second rehab start for the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.
According to the Zephyrs’ web site, radio broadcasts of the team’s games are available at www.zephyrsbaseball.com and www.wistradio.com. Click on “streaming” on the list of options on the left side of WIST 690-AM’s home page. Each broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show.
