Brady 25th Anniversary
Wesley and Star Clement Brady of Salisbury celebrated their 25th anniversary Aug. 5, 2008. The couple were married Aug. 5, 1983, by the Rev. A.C. Sigmon, grandfather of the bride.
Wesley is an 18-year employee of Old Carolina Brick Co., and Star is an 8-year employee of Pine Ridge General Store.
A celebration was held Aug. 2 at the coupleís home with family and friends.
The Bradys have two children, E.W. Brady III of Rockwell and Laura M. Brady of Gold Hill. They also have one grandson, Aiden Dalsey Morris of Gold Hill.
The couple have traveled a lot this year with bike trips from the mountains to the sea. They carry a box of old love letters to reminisce, rekindle and rejoice!
Casper 50th Anniversary
Lloyd Oliver Casper and Carol iBonnieî Menius Casper of Salisbury are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Aug. 10, 2008. A dinner was hosted by their daughters to honor them on Aug. 9 at the home of daughter Linda Miller. The Caspers were married Aug. 10, 1958, at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Salisbury by the Rev. William Ridenhour. Lloyd retired from Stanback/ GlaxoSmithKline, and Bonnie retired from Square D-Power Box Solutions. Their children are Linda Miller and husband Jeff of Richfield and Teresa Abernethy of Faith. Their grandchildren are Mattison Miller, April and Kristina Abernethy.
Caudle 56th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Caudle of Salisbury celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary Aug. 2, 2008, in Ripon, Wisc., with daughter Lynne and son-in-law David Joyce. While in Wisconsin, they attended EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, the worldís largest air show. A highlight of the trip was attending the Grand Reception for the Gathering of Eagles, where they met Harrison Ford, star of iIndiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,î who wished them a very special anniversary. They enjoyed a moment of conversation and a photograph with Mr. Ford, followed by a tour of the Oshkosh Flight Museum.
The anniversary celebration included golf, shopping and sightseeing in Wisconsin. The week culminated with a special dinner at Grey Rock Restaurant at the Heidel House Resort on Green Lake.
Many friends, along with Lynne and David, their son Terry, daughter-in-law Julia and grandchildren Anna, Nicolas and Kris, wished them a very happy anniversary.
Daniel – Karns
Delores and Gary Daniel of Rockwell are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Anne Daniel, to David Theodore Karns, both of Beaverton, Ore.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Elva and the late Howell Kesler of Salisbury, the late Ruth Daniel and Sam Daniel of Mocksville. A 2002 graduate of East Rowan High School, Alicia received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from East Carolina University in 2006, graduating magna cum laude. She is a registered nurse at the Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Emergency Room.
The future groom is the son of Robert and Sharon Karns of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and the grandson of the late Fred and Lucille Karns and the late Lucille and Harry Rohrbaugh. A 1981 graduate of Canyon High School, David received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from California State University, Fresno, in 1987, graduating summa cum laude, and a Master of Science degree in nursing in 1995. He is also a registered nurse in the Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Emergency Room.
The wedding will be Sept. 19 at The Resort at the Mountain, Welches, Ore.
