Police and State Bureau of Investigation officers remained at the home throughout the day collecting and processing evidence.
Police say Drye and Boyd were iacquaintances,î but are releasing little other information about the case.
Boyd’s wife, Dr. Kathleen Boyd, an endodontist, and their children were at the beach at the time and returned Thursday afternoon.
Police will not release a cause of death until preliminary autopsy reports are released from the Medical Examiner’s Office in Charlotte.
