KANNAPOLIS — Get a head start on a career in clinical research by attending an information session Thursday night in Concord.
Kannapolis will become home to one of the largest contract research companies in the world when Pharmaceutical Product Development Inc. opens an office at the N.C. Research Campus. PPD expects to hire up to 300 people.
North Carolina is home to about 90 contract research and testing companies, one of the greatest concentrations anywhere.
Thursday’s information session will highlight job opportunities throughout the state, the drug development process, workforce training programs and more.
The session costs $10 and will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Service Room at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College South Campus, 1531 Trinity Church Road, Concord.
The event is co-sponsored by the N.C. Community College System’s BioNetwork, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and the Greater Charlotte Chapter Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
