The Ultimate Power Lunch, sponsored by Southern Company, will be noon Monday at the Holiday Inn. John Formica will speak on “Creating Better Relationships for Business and Life through Effective Communication Styles.”
Formica has facilitated more than 700 business and industry workshops. While employed in management at Disney, he implemented the company’s philosophy on creating a superior customer experience and facilitated training sessions at the Disney Institute on “Customer Loyalty.”
A free seminar, “Time Management Workshop,” will be Tuesday from 7:30-9 a.m., at The Gateway, 204 East Innes Street. The seminar is presented by Donna Ginn, English instructor at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
The 2008 Business Show is Thursday at the Holiday Inn. It is open to the public from 1 -5 p.m. This showcase of more than 60 Chamber member businesses features goods and services from throughout Rowan County. Door prize drawings will be held throughout the day and winners do not need to be present. “Business After Hours” will also be at the show for Chamber members from 5-7 p.m.
“The economy is being driven by growing business locally. Highlighting the impact of the Rowan County business sector is a good way for us to promote local companies and give them the exposure necessary to grow,” said Cathy Griffin (Century 21 Towne & Country), who is chair of the Chamber’s Small Business Council.
The presenting sponsor for Business Week 2008 is The Salisbury Post. Additional sponsors are AT&T “The Real Yellow Pages,” Piedmont Natural Gas and Windstream. For more information, call 704-633-4221 or e-mail lsherrill@rowanchamber.com.
