Cooper Park
A son, Cooper Ryan, was born to Allison Peterson Park and Jeremy Ryan Park of Stanley on March 10, 2008, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces. Grandparents are Carole Mull Park of Salisbury, Kenny and Terry Peterson of Dallas, and the late Henry James Park Jr. Great-grandparents are Bill and Ruth Wood of Mount Holly and Helen Peterson of Kings Mountain.
Emma Pressley
A daughter, Emma Rose, was born to Holly Johnson and Matthew Pressley of China Grove on March 21, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces. Grandparents are Donnie and Sandra Johnson of Landis and Scott and Susie Pressley of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Phillip and Wilma Corriher of China Grove, Sam and Libby Pressley of Landis and Grace Cleary of Kannapolis.
Maggie Cooper

Grandparents are Danny and Jane Cooper of Salisbury and Randy and Linda Brown of Granite Quarry. Doris Slate of Salisbury is great-grandparent.
Sophia Berns
A daughter, Sophia Louise, was born to Christopher and Amanda Jaap Berns of Granite Quarry on March 6, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce.
