KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. ó Serena Williams screamed at herself, broke her racket and then finally finished off Jelena Jankovic 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 Saturday for her fifth title at the Sony Ericsson Open.
Williams arrived at Key Biscayne a trimmer player, thanks to a recent rigorous training regimen, and needed to be in top condition in the 21/2-hour final. Both players held up well in the 85-degree sunshine, and some of their best rallies ó one lasting 26 shots ó came in the final few games.

BATON ROUGE, La. ó LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux missed Saturday’s spring game, but he was back as a member of the team today.

– GAINESVILLE, Fla. ó Florida receiver Percy Harvin will have heel surgery next week, but coach Urban Meyer expects the speedy playmaker to be fine for fall practice.
“It’s not a career-threatening injury,” Meyer said Friday. “It’s a very minor surgery.”

Just when it looked as though Ochoa would seize control of the first major of the year, she three-putted for bogey on two of the final four holes and settled for a 1-under 71 on Saturday, with only one shot separating her from Hee-Won Han.
– HUMBLE, Texas ó Johnson Wagner shot a 3-under 69 to take a one-shot lead over Chad Campbell after the third round of the Houston Open.
– PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic ó Mark Wiebe shot a 4-under 68 to take a three-stroke lead in the Champions Tour’s Cap Cana Championship.
