South Rowan’s Olivia Jacobs finished second in the 3200 in a time of 12:18 at the Blue Devil Invitational on Saturday.
South’s Emily Kinney finished eighth in the 3200 in 13:02.

Spencer Steedley (East Rowan) pitched two scoreless innings for the Beloit Snappers in his season debut on Saturday. The Snappers lost to Kane County 6-3.
n Bobby Parnell (East) started Saturday for Binghamton in a 2-0 loss to Trenton in the Eastern League.
Parnell allowed two runs and five hits and struck out four in 32/3 innings.

Livingstone’s annual spring football scrimmage was rained out on Saturday and rescheduled for today at 3 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
Lamonte Massie is entering his second season as head coach of the Blue Bears.
n Rampage footballRowan Rampage registration and sign-ups will be held on April 5 and 12 from 2-4 p.m. at the Forum in Salisbury.
Registration fee for returning players is $30. Registration fee for prospective new players is $60.
