Rowan Roundup: Miss Carillon contest is April 11

Carillon Assisted Living, 1915 Mooresville Road, will hold its Miss Carillon Contest at 2:30 p.m. April 11, with proceeds going to the Justin Monroe and Victor Isler memorial funds.
These funds will go to the families of the two firefighters recently killed fighting a fire at Salisbury Millworks.
The contest, a “beauty pageant” where men dress as women and compete for prizes, is open to the public. There is no participation or admission fee, but donations will be accepted for the memorial funds.For more details, call 704-633-4666.
New bank opens
MOORESVILLE ó A grand opening party was held Tuesday to celebrate the official opening of blueharbor bank at 106 Corporate Park Drive.
The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and donation to the local United Way chapter.

RFP designation
Cathy S. Foster was recently awarded a Registered Financial Planner (RFP) designation from the Registered Financial Planners Institute.
This designation is given to individuals who demonstrate a high level of skills in financial planning. The Institute promotes professionalism as well as a strong code of ethics among those who are active in the field of financial planning for individuals and businesses.
Foster is a wealth plan design manager for Victory Wealth Management Inc. in China Grove and has worked in the financial service industry since 1999.
