Applications are being accepted for the 2008-2009 Leadership Rowan, the 17th year of the program sponsored by the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce.
Leadership Rowan is designed to help developing leaders and enhance existing leaders in Rowan County. It begins Aug. 8-10 with a retreat at The Catholic Conference Center in Hickory. Nine other sessions will be held on the third Thursday of each month.
Each Leadership Rowan participant is required to attend the retreat and all sessions. A plaque will be presented to those who complete the program. Employers should agree in advance to grant participants time off to attend each session.
Tuition is $600 for Chamber members and $650 for non-members. It is due July 31. Limited financial assistance may be available for those who need and request it. Enrollment is limited.
