John Riley
A son, John Northup, was born to Heather and Patrick Gordon Riley of Wilmington on May 29, 2007, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Raeford Grubbs of Laurinburg and Mr. and Mrs. John Gayle Riley of Salisbury. Hazel Beam Reynolds of Laurinburg is great-grandmother.
Grayson Smith
A son, Grayson Hunter, was born to Tim Smith and Jan Corriher-Smith of Salisbury on July 13, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. He weighed 2 pounds, 1/2 ounce. He has three brothers, Cameron, Chandler and Colby, all 10. Grandparents are Diane and Johnny Pickeral, John and Carol Smith and Barbara Corriher, all of Salisbury, and the late Albert Corriher.
Sophie Carter
A daughter, Sophie Elizabeth, was born to Kevin and Shannon Johnston Carter of Rockwell on July 4, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces. She has a sister, Kayla Marie, 11. Grandparents are Paul and Jerri Johnston of Gold Hill, James and Maria Carter of Stoneville, and Kathy Smith of Asheboro. Great-grandparents are Milton and Mable Rathbun of Gold Hill, Mary Lowman of Salisbury and Ruby Smith of Asheboro. Great-great-grandparents are Mildred Winecoff of Gold Hill and Annabelle Navarro of Virginia Beach.
