Susan Clapp is tournament chair for Winston-Salem’s Summer Sectional, which will be held at the Home and Garden Building in LJVM Coliseum, 421 27th St. Details are in the July District 7 News.
Dick Brisbin and Steve Moore placed first in our weekly duplicate game last Tuesday evening at the Salisbury Woman’s Club.
Other winners were: Fern Albrecht and Marie Pugh, second; Judy Hurder and Billy Burke, third; Gloria Bryant and June Evans, fourth.

The Brisbin/Moore pair fulfilled a five-diamonds-doubled contract for the top E/W score on this deal.
The Hurder/Burke partnership defeated their West opponent’s five diamonds contract one trick for the best N/S score.
In the Evergreen Club’s July 6 duplicate game, Sue Godridge and Myrnie McLaughlin scored high overall and first E/W. Ruth Bowles and Marie Pugh took the top spot N/S.
