Born April 23, 2007, in Cabarrus County, Kortlyn was the daughter of Mandy Carlton, 445 Carlton Ridge, China Grove; grandparents Tim and Barbara Safrit, Kannapolis, and Marvin Carlton, China Grove; and great-grandfather Norman Carlton, China Grove.
A service was held Monday (May 14, 2007) at Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. R.J. Hammond, the Rev. Clayton Palmer Jr., the Rev. James Messer and the Rev. Roger Bostic. Burial, West Lawn Memorial Park.
