Gordon Hallman
Gordon Wayne Hallman, 65, died Sunday (May 13, 2007) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Born July 13, 1941, in Lincoln County, Mr. Hall was a son of the late Reeves A. and Sarah Kistler Hallman Barkley.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, retiring as a master sergeant with 20 years of service.
He later worked at D.C. Linn Company and was a semi-retired project manager at LaFave’s Construction.
He was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church, where he was formerly a deacon, church treasurer and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Florinda Kay Pennell Hallman; sons Greg Hallman, China Grove, and Scott Hallman, Salisbury; daughter Karen Roberts, Landis; brother Larry Hallman, Lincolnton; and four grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Whitley’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Joe LaFave. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park, with full military rites by unit from Pope Air Force Base.
