Nannie Mae Auten
CONCORD ó Nannie Mae Shoe Auten, 100, Concord, died Sunday (May 13, 2007).
Born March 30, 1907, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Auten was a daughter of the late Mumford Lillard and Hattie Geneva Blackwelder Shoe.
She was a lifelong member of Westford United Methodist Church, which also observed its 100th birthday this year.
Her husband of 49 years, Robert Banks Auten, and son Richard Vann Auten preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters Rachel Wyatt, Betty Sides and Glenda Ramsey; sons Robert E. and Jimmy Auten; sisters Bessie Kennedy and Edith Auten; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday (May 16, 2007), Westford United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Jeff Rushing, the Rev. Robert Leonard and the Rev. Allen Montgomery.
Hartsell Funeral Home is in charge.
Visitation: The family will be at the home of son Robert Auten, 832 Old Charlotte Road.
