Alice Parker Shue
Alice Parker Shue, 92, 1105 Sunset Drive, died Monday (Nov. 27, 2006) at Five Oaks Nursing Center, Concord, after a serious illness of two months.
Born Aug. 18, 1914, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Shue was a daughter of the late John A. and Emma Mullis Parker.
She worked for years in No. 6 Weave Room of Cannon Mills Plant 1, retiring in 1976.
She was a member of Jackson Park Baptist Church.
Her husband, William H. Shue; daughter Janice Shue; and sons Richard, Ernest, Marvin and W.H. Shue Jr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include son Colon D. Shue, Kannapolis; daughter Alice Kay Illick, Altamonte Springs, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 30, 2006), Jackson Park Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Herman Absher and the Rev. Stan Welch. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation: 1-3 p.m. Thursday at the church and at other times at the home of son Colon D. Shue on Sunset Drive.
Whitley’s Funeral Home is in charge.
