ROCK HILL, S.C. — Former West Rowan star Phillip Williams scored 17 points to lead Winthrop to a 74-59 victory over Mount Saint Mary’s on Monday night.

The 6-foot-8 Williams was 6-of-7 from the field and

5-of-6 from the foul line for the Eagles (8-3). He also led both teams in rebounds with eight.

ATLANTA — Freshman Thaddeus Young scored a season-high 21 points and led Georgia Tech’s 3-point attack as the Yellow Jackets beat Centenary 92-52 on Monday night to snap a two-game losing streak.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Al Thornton scored 22 points as Florida State beat High Point.

Davidson 92, Chattanooga 80

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Stephen Curry scored 30 points and had a game-high 11 rebounds to lead Davidson (9-3, 3-0, Southern Conference) past Chattanooga 92-80 Monday night for the Wildcats’ fifth straight win.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — David Lawrence scored a game-high 17 points to help the College of Charleston beat Coastal Carolina 70-49.

The College of Charleston (5-6) jumped out to a 10-point lead at 12:54 on a Lawrence jumper and took a 19-7 lead on a Marcus Hammond layup. Hammond scored 11 points. Jermaine Johnson had nine points.

WCU 82, The Citadel 63

CULLOWHEE — Antonio Russell scored a game-high 21 points and finished with a career-high seven assists to lead Western Carolina over The Citadel 82-63.

Morgan St. 76, ECU 70

BALTIMORE — Jamar Smith scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Morgan State defeated East Carolina 76-70.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Dane Bradshaw scored on a putback with 1.9 seconds left, and Tennessee (9-2) spoiled No. 15 Oklahoma State’s perfect start by beating the Cowboys 79-77.
