The Humane Society of Rowan County will kickoff its 35th dog wash Saturday at West End Plaza (formerly Salisbury Mall). For the past 20 years the washes have been held at the mall.
The fee has been increased one time over the years and remains $8, $10, $12 and $14 depending on size of dog. The wash will take place at the back entrance to the West End Plaza from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Pet food and cat litter is needed to replenish the organization’s pet food bank at this time. Donations may be dropped off at the dog wash on Saturday.
Vendors of animal products and services and human products and services are invited to contact the HSRC to register to participate in the 40th For Your Pets/Care for Yourself, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Rowan County Fairgrounds.
